Acampamento Luta Pela Vida - Terra Livre
The indigenous spring happened in Brazil between the months of September and October. It was the largest concentration of indigenous peoples ever in the country, with more than 6,000 indigenous people camped in the capital of Brazil, Brasília. The current Brazilian government has an anti-indigenous agenda, and is accused of committing genocide against native peoples, especially in the policy against covid-19 and in favor of agribusiness and all types of deforesters in the Amazon. During the indigenous camp, also in Brasília, there was an invasion of supporters of the ultra-right president Jair Bolsonaro. Among other things, the fascists wanted the closure of the National Congress and the Federal Superior Court.
A large crowd of people, many displaying Brazilian flags, gather outdoors under a clear sky, with one person visible in a tree draped in an Israeli flag.
