SAINT GEORGE'S CELEBRATION
Rio de Janeiro, BR·22 Apr 2021
RIO DE JANEIRO, 04.22.2021 - RELIGION / CORONAVIRUS - Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, churches that traditionally celebrate Saint George day in Rio de Janeiro will be closed to avoid crowds and online masses will be held. The holiday had also already been changed to the end of March as a measure to slow down the virus contamination in the state. A day earlier, the Saint George Church, in downtown Rio, allowed the faithful to pay their respects by limiting the number of people and following security protocols.
