At the bridge that crosses both sides of the river in central Siem Reap, a crippled man sings a traditional Khmer music. At the end of the lighted bridge, the man alone, sitting on the ground, to whom the land mines plucked a leg, seems to be ignored by those who pass by, like the European couple who repeats the picture over and over, by the bridge, in a near distance to the man, without ever looking at him. Between April of 1975 and January of 1979, the Khmer Rouge regime was responsible for the death of about 2 million people in Cambodia, in one of the most lethal political regimes of the 20th century. Siem Reap, Cambodia.
